Downstairs Bathroom: New Faucet

Thursday, December 14th, 2006

Finally a sucessful project.  I put a new faucet in the downstairs bathroom tonight and it came out pretty good.  It makes the sink look much better compared to the old faucet.  I forgot to get some “before” pictures but it looked like something you would see in the bathroom of a 80 year old elementary school.  All that’s left in the downstairs bathroom is some paint!

Welcome to This Cold House

Bottom line:  Don’t buy a house.  Unless you’ve got some actual reason to do so, i.e., having a family or something, just My Destructiondon’t do it.  It’s not worth your time.  It will consume you.  It will drain your wallet.  If you do feel the need to purchase (or I should say rent via property tax) real estate, get something new or close to new.  Don’t take someone elses box of DIY projects.  I’ve been in this house for a little over a month now and in this short time I have found some of the most bizarre shit.  Of course, I find it necessary to repair/rebuild everything simultaneously. Stop back and check my progress as I work on this hole.  This house will kill me.
